G3XBM QRP

Mostly, but not exclusively, about amateur radio.

If you wish, buy me a "virtual" cup of coffee. This helps me offset some of my project costs.  There absolutely no compulsion to do this! This is entirely voluntary.

See https://ko-fi.com/rogerg3xbm .

Welcome to the G3XBM website.

This came about as Google wanted me to upgrade to the New Google Sites, but my attempts to convert the old site were disasters.  Instead.  I designed this new site.

I hope all the old pages are still here (if not yet, they soon should be) although navigation to them may be different.

Use the drop-down menus from "Home" now to get to sub-pages.  Click on the down arrows and NOT on the text until you get to the page you want.

If you spot errors or omissions, please let me know so these may be corrected. At first, some pages may be missing. I fully intend that everything on the old site is on the new, but this could take a few more weeks.

Video channel https://www.youtube.com/user/G3XBM . Updated infrequently.

Blog: http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/     Updated most days. Look here for current data.

The map above shows where my QTH is located.

We moved QTH in 2013.  Most of my activity is 10m FT8, although I operate 2200m, 630m, 160m , 6m, 2m and 70cms FT8, SSB, WSPR and FM.  I have also used AM.

Back in 2013 I had a stroke that badly affected my voice.  Most of me recovered, although my fine motor skills are poorer, I get giddy and my voice is poor.

Mostly I use QRP (low power).   DXCC with 10m 10W SSB was achieved in the 1980s with simple  wire (non-beam) antennas and I no longer chase DX.  If I work DX great, but if I miss it I do not fret!

Ours is a very diverse hobby and it is good that people can enjoy it in so many different ways. For example, I have never tried amateur television (ATV) or microwaves. On LF I have only dabbled.

Please let me have feedback on how the site may be improved.

On the drop-down menus I hope you find things of interest. Most relate to amateur radio, but some do not.

As I get more proficient, I hope any current issues wil be resolved. Please be patient.

If any schematics are not clear, I am working on it!   It is quite possible that some pages have wrong photos at first. These will be corrected, but this might take a few days.
